U.S. surgeon general says gun violence is health crisis

When are these bone heads going to realize the violence is started by the person that doesn't give a shit about anyone else or life.
It's not the tool the violent person is armed with be it a hammer, car, baseball bat, or the only thing that is a RIGHT Gun.

An advisory from the U.S. surgeon general says gun violence is an urgent public health crisis. Citing rising deaths of young people and mental health impacts, the report argues for an approach to stem gun violence similar to tobacco-related and motor vehicle deaths. Amna Nawaz discussed more with Dr. Emmy Betz, an emergency room physician and director of the Firearm Injury Prevention Initiative.

At my Dr appointment a nurse asked me if I feel safe in my own home.
I told heck no there are Democrats in my neighborhood. :2gunsfiri
That ended the questions, and the nurse laughed so hard she nearly fell off her stool.

There are many ways to kill, and many tools to facilitate that. You can not outlaw them all and still have a society.
More guns will ensure civility in my mind. :tiphat:

The Surgeon General says that "Gun" violence is a public health crisis instead of just "violence" because using the word "gun" makes it easier to present their solution: just ban guns further. As if disarming law abiding citizens would make us safer. If they were to admit the reality that the problem is the rise in Violence, regardless of the weapons used to perpetuate the violence, it necessitates them to look further into why there is a rise in violence. That is a cultural issue, and it is harder to address, but it is the real problem. They (the left) don't want to address it, however, because they would then have to admit that their own policies and philosophies which seek to break down traditional norms are responsible for the violence ultimately.
All you have to do is ask them this: Would you rather live in a world where everyone had a gun, but everyone was kind and respectful, OR a world where nobody had a gun, but everyone was hateful and prone to violence toward others? The answer is obvious, and it points out the fact that it is how we are as people that is the important thing, and not which weapons we have at our disposal.
People aren't violent because they have guns. They have guns because people are violent.
