Tucker T- case?

I'm going through my 1744 Tucker cleaning it up changing fluids and filters. (Kicking around the idea of selling it and restoring the wifes). My question is what is best way to check the fluid, it has a cooling pump that circulates the fluid through a cooler in front of the radiator. I'm guessing it pumps out the drain and back in the fill.

I would agree, I feel the *fill* part of the legend might have a purpose.

the heat exchanger is higher than the tcase inlet. so fill makes sense.

I mis read the statement.

I would take the outlet of the heat exchanger off.
Push fluid up there till it shows.
Put the hose on.

remove the inlet / fill hose at tcase, put thumb on it. add till the case is proper.

the little bit you might lose out of the hose is a non issue.

treat it like a dry sump engine with a bad check valve.

I'll give that a try and report back. Thanks for the help.
