tucker for sale on e bay 1982 beware

just looked at the tucker on e bay in Utica ny-----bad transfer case---not a bad cat its all there but will need a transfer case or a rebuild---other draw back is its a stick machine---hard to groom trails with a stick machine---------the only good cat is a dead cat----except a sno cat:unsure:

I called cooks----not sure if they have one---but they said 1200.00 to buy it used----2500.00 if they go through it-----and 400 to 500 if I had to change it----what I got him down to is all I would I would want to pay in working order

I was looking to use it in the Adirondacks at a bed and breakfast...x-country ski trails, snowmobile trails, hunting.....

just remember its a standard----hard to pull any kind of drag -----the twin tuckers on resort bone yard not a bad deal----they r getting me shipping cost on them----iam in rome ny

Just opinion here top welder, I pull drags with sticks and autos.

My old 380CU ford inline six diesel does a wonderful job all night long. T-18 4 SPD.

Autos are easier but they have their issues as well.

Some of the folks here, really take the comments post here to heart.
just my $.02 Mike

Thanks for all the input. It's been 46 years since I rode in an old snocat. My father was the mountain manager of a small ski area in the Catskills. I would like to find a 443 sedan to be able to drive around on a farm.

I pull a drag with my manual 442. Not bad just need to pick a gear and go. Once you know your route you will figure out the shift spots.

at one time or another, I've used a snow-trac and a J5 to pull a groomer - both of them 4 speed standard transmissions - now I have a 1344 Tucker with a 4 speed trans - an automatic would be nice, but I've had no issues with the 4 speed in the lessor machines and I don't expect any with the tucker
