Are the long rails on the fiberglass pontoons heat treated mild steel or untreated plow steel? Im probably going to need to fabricate a set up in the next year or two.

I don't have fiberglass pontoons....... but I built a bunch of upper rails out of mild steel. I made a dozen... but so far, I've only installed one of them. (I have a lot of work to do to my 442 in the summer..... these will all be installed).
So far, the mild steel has performed just right.
