The 1700 is a heavy duty version of a 1600. The 440 Chrysler Industrial/5-speed would be the base level power train. 1700 series machines are quite a bit heavier then their 1600 series brethren. Tucker listed the 1600 series machines as weighing between 6,840 and 7,060 lbs 1700's weigh between 8,410 and 8,630 lbs. The track dimensions (28" wide x 92" long) are the same.
