Here is an auction that looks to be legit. It has no reserve. The starting bid is $3500 and the Tucker 1342 is located in New Hampshire. It appears to be owned by a club.

1980 Tucker Sno-Cat Snow Groomer Snow Cat NH DESCRIPTION
This is a 1980 Tucker Sno-Cat Model 1342 Snow Groomer. It has been used sparingly over the past few years to groom a runway for ski use. It is running and ready to do some snow grooming on your ski slopes, x-country ski trails, or snowmobile trails with drag. Or it would be great to use for sugaring or log skidding. Available at No Reserve.
  • Serial Number: 3803493
  • Curb Weight: 5760 lbs
  • Gross Weight: 7360 lbs
  • Engine: 318 Chrysler gas engine
  • Transmission: 5 speed manual transmission
  • Engine has 5153 hours on the working meter
Mechanically, the Sno-Cat engine and transmission run well. The tracks are in very good shape, with new cogs and some new wheels. It has dual hydraulic couplings in rear (two in and two out), hydraulics for a snow plow in front, and pintle hook in rear. Presently has a 12 Foot hydraulic compactor with corrugated rubber on back. This compactor folds up onto back for backing up.
The Sno-Cat comes with a spare (smooth) compactor blade. There is a snow plow blade and frame which need work but are included.
Interior is as seen in photos. There is working heat with a recently replaced blower motor.
This machine is 27 years old. There has been some re-welding in places, and there is some rust on lower rear of cab. The beacon and top fog lights do not work. It needs new brake pads (for driveshaft caliper brake). The tachometer does not work. The emergency brake works fine.

Thanks for the reply.Wondering if Melensdad still has this tucker or what is its status. Also would be interested in a 1960s model sedan style. Iam new at this and having trouble finding tuckers. If you could help, that would be great!
Lance.

LancePrice,

As was pointed out to you previously, Melensdad never owned this Tucker. This is what he wrote about the five year old ebay ad:
Here is an auction that looks to be legit.

I would suggest you might starting a thread about "wanting to buy a Tucker".

Optimistically re-reading (or mis-reading) this thread won't help.

I once was told that when you want to buy something, you want three things: You want it Fast, Good, and Cheap. You can always find two of those qualities, but at the expense of the third one.

If you want a good Tucker for cheap, it probably will take some time to find it.

Best of luck on your search.
