Trump Stops Funding to N.G.O. Charities that Support Immigrant Resettlement

The Democratic Party literally created this system to bring illegals into the US, planned to give them “amnesty” and citizenship so they would vote for Democrats for the next 20 years. Trump just flipped the table on them and DEAD STOPPED their plan. This was started by Obama. Trump tried to stop if the 1st time he was in office. Biden increased the funding and set records for illegal immigration. IT ENDS NOW. Trump cut the head off the snake(s).

Non-Government Organizations

These are groups that are typically funded, almost exclusively by governments, acting on behalf of the government or in coordination with the government. "The government" could be a single nation, or could be a group of nations like the United Nations.

One can NOT understate how IMPORTANT this new action from Trump is to dramatically cut the flow of illegal immigration across our borders. This is simply huge.

This is arguably the single most important aspect of Trump's funding freeze.

The immigration crisis isn't an accident. It's a well-oiled system, facilitated by powerful NGOs—and funded by your tax dollars.

By defunding the NGOs, Trump is crippling the entire system. 🧵 Image
Here's what just happened: Last week, President Trump signed an executive order suspending refugee admissions into the U.S.

Then, the State Department went a step further—they issued a "stop-work" order to their NGO "partners," suspending all funding for refugee resettlement. Image
Image
The NGOs were beside themselves. And for good reason—very few of these groups are self-sufficient. Most of them are sustained by the federal tax-dollar gravy train. The immigration crisis is being financed by your government—with your money.

Hence, their outraged statements: Image
Image
Image
Image
To be clear, these NGOs exist to subvert U.S. immigration law at every step of the process—actively transporting migrants into the country, fighting enforcement efforts at the border, resettling migrants in American towns and cities, and lobbying for open border policies in D.C. Image
And again, they've been doing it on your dime. For the past four years, The Biden State Department has been mainlining taxpayer funds to groups that run an end-to-end mass migration network, beginning deep in South America and finishing with resettlement in American communities. Image
They provide "humanitarian transportation" to ferry immigrants up to our border, waypoints with shelter and medical services along the way, Spanish-language maps showing the best route to the U.S., and legal services for immigrants to beat our immigration laws once they get here. Image
Image
Image
Image
Oh, and money. They just give them cash cards, vouchers, and often even just stacks of cash in envelopes.

Tough to think of a more direct 1:1 redistribution: You pay your taxes. Your government sends that money to the NGOs. The NGOs hand it to immigrants. You work, they benefit. Image
Ten of these major immigration NGOs—known as VOLAGS ("Voluntary Agencies")—have contracts with the State Department's Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (PRM), which provides them with the funding to resettle migrants in the U.S.

These are the ten VOLAGS in question: Image
Most of these groups are only able to operate because of the federal government.

Take the USCCB: In 2023, they received $129.6M in federal grants for migration services. They spent $130.5M on migration services.

Their immigration activities are almost 100% taxpayer-funded. Image
Or take the Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service. (Which, unlike the USCCB as an overall organization, is exclusively focused on immigration).

In FY 2023, 96.65% of their revenue came from federal grants and contracts, to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars. Image
Or take the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society—a group that we made an entire video about last year. (See below).

Biden DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas served on their board until taking a job in the Biden admin. Surprise, surprise—after he took office, their funding skyrocketed.

If you're looking for the villain at the center of the immigration crisis, it's these guys. The refugee NGOs are a fifth column in American politics. And they've essentially been acting as an extension of the federal government.

But not anymore. This is a big, big win.

And more reporting on this, which is NOT making the major news cycle?!?

FULL STORY at ZeroHedge, but here is the main idea below:

Trump Admin Canceling Funding To NGOs Involved In Illegal Immigration, Noem Says

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said on Wednesday that the Trump administration will cancel funding to nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) that facilitate illegal immigration.
The comment was made as federal immigration officials ramp up enforcement efforts across the United States and in major cities.
Noem said that the administration “has stopped all grant funding that’s being abused by NGOs that’s being used to facilitate illegal immigration” into the United States.
“Many of these NGOs actually have infrastructure and operations set up in Mexico, on that side of the border, and are telling those illegal immigrants to come to them, and they will get them across the border,” Noem said in an interview on the Fox News Channel’s “Will Cain Show.”
Those NGOs, she said, are “not just operating in the United States, they’re operating outside the United States to help make it easier for those who want to break our laws.”
As Jack Phillips reports via The Epoch Times, the Trump administration will freeze funding to those groups and determine whether those funds were going to causes aligned with the White House’s policies, she said. A review will be carried out, and before then, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will not spend more to help “the destruction of this country,” she added.
“When somebody said NGO to me, I thought that [was] a nonprofit telling somebody about Jesus or spreading faith and salvation,” Noem said.
“Then I realized over the years, it’s been perverted into this shadow government.”
Noem, who was confirmed as DHS secretary over the weekend, posted a video and photos of her near a New York City immigration enforcement operation on X early Tuesday, highlighting the arrest of a suspect and saying the Trump administration was “making our streets safe.”
...
Trump has issued an array of executive orders to crack down on illegal immigration after taking office on Jan. 20, including actions aimed at deporting record numbers of illegal immigrants from the United States.
...
Meanwhile, the Office of Management and Budget earlier this week issued an order to freeze federal grants and funding before that memo was rescinded later. That order had impacted funding to certain NGOs, including a Catholic charities organization that provides services to illegal immigrants and poorer Americans. . . . .

An important point here is that this was funding and aiding all illegal immigrants, not just actual refugees.

The term "refugee" means someone who is fleeing from some kind of war or humanitarian disaster, and is seeking refuge/asylum. Those traveling through Mexico and seeking asylum in the U.S. must now wait in Mexico for their court hearings, which might take years, because Trump reinstated the Remain in Mexico policy. Without that, asylum seekers get to remain in the U.S for years while awaiting their court dates, and then almost never show up to their hearing, instead disappearing. Those that do are rarely granted asylum, as they don't qualify.

So, it's one thing to aid a bona fide refugee, but most are not. It's not enough that they simply claim to be.

Like AOC tried to do several weeks ago with Tom Homan; see about 2:00:

Yes, excellent clip, because Homan, as he always does, makes things clear and simple, so that even someone like AOC might be able to comprehend.

If you want to seek asylum, you go to a legal port of entry and say that you want to seek asylum. Then, you'll remain in Mexico, but your claim will be considered. It will probably take a while, because there are so many seeking asylum in the U.S., despite the fact that most don't rate it. In fact, almost none rate asylum, and the system is clogged with baseless claims. And, when your case is finally adjudicated, you'll probably be turned down.

This process doesn't require any child to be separated from any parent. But crossing the border illegally might. The Dems have no rational argument against these policies.
