I WOULD RESPECTFULLY DISSAGREE.
Pam Bondi was the AG of the State of Florida. Her position on the law in that interview was to explain it. I am very pro 2nd A but I had very little trouble with her explanation of the law as created by the legislature. And why. Red flag laws, properly written and enforced, which have legal recourses, are reasonable.
Yes it is a thin line and we must be careful not to infringe on the God given rights of responsible citizens. This is true of any law our legislatures create. It is why we have the document of our agreed partnership with each other called, the Constitution.
All that said;
There are people, citizens of the USA, who simply should not have unfettered access to guns. Whilst the Constitution has literally only one paragraph, actually a single sentence about infringement of the right to bear arms, it does not take into account, reasonable exceptions.
For example, someone who has been convicted of armed robbery. Should citizens be expected to trust that proven felon will not repeat bad judgement and have to live with such an armed person in their midst. Because the words "shall not be infringed" exist in that relationship.
Do we not prohibit pedophiles from teaching kids in public schools?
or 12-year-olds from flying airplanes? Something about which the Constitution says nothing.
