Trump might be charged for Quid-pro-quo with RFK

FrancSevin

Proudly Deplorable
So, Trump is now in trouble for discussing how RFK could contribute to Trump's plans to scuttle FDA and other corrupted federal agencies.

There is a federal law prohibiting the offering of a job for an endorsement.

I don't believe, from what I saw, that is true. The two men simply discussed common problems on wish they have concerns and possibly wish to work together.

These Democrats will stop at nothing to stop THE Donald.

What a hilariously stupid law. So basically, it says you can't explicitly promise to reward people with jobs if they politically endorse your election. It doesn't mean you can't give them jobs, but that you can't openly say you're going to give them jobs.

Clearly, people who have politically endorsed candidates in the past have gotten jobs in their administrations afterwards countless times, without being charged with a crime. And I would bet that many of those times, probably most of them, consisted of the candidate promising the job beforehand. It's just that the distinction is so meaningless that nobody pursues it, UNLESS of course the candidate is Donald Trump. Then, look out, he broke the law. We better prosecute him.

What a joke.
