Agreed. Trump needs a partner he can implacably trust. One who is also competent.
All too often the choice of VP has been to attract and consolidate votes. I would suggest Trump would prefer a running mate who is competent.

Perhaps such is not a good strategy to win, however it is what the country needs.
 
The GOP needs Trump to be smarter than to pick either one of those.

The GOP needs Trump to pick someone the voters will accept as his successor, as his heir, to continue his legacy after the end of his term. In short, the GOP needs Trump to pick someone for the VP slot who can get elected as President in the following 2 elections.

I'd suggest Vivek in my opinion he's got good ideas without the mean tweet of Trump. Trump would have to put his personal issues with Vivek but thats not going to happen his ego won't let him. Trump is still better than oatmeal for brains stumbeling around in the whirehouse now!!!!!
