True Key

All of a sudden this morning something called "True Key" installed itself on my Laptop computer.
I saw a blue Icon on my desktop. I didn't know what the heck it was and it kind of pizzed me off that it showed up. Apparently it's something that Intel came up with. I didn't even know that Intel had bought McAfee Internet Security (anti virus). I looked it up and saw it was a real thing: http://www.intelsecurity.com/ It uses facial or finger print recognition instead of password. You can get 15 freebies then for anymore you have to pay (so I understood). http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2496327,00.asp

Since it is nothing I had ever heard of or wanted. I went to the Intel website and finally got a phone number to call them. Once I got a human it was easy. Just go to the control panel and look for Intel and it can be uninstalled like anything else. My problem was I kept try to find
"True key" on the uninstall panel. Wel l how the heck was I to know?
Anyway I don't know if it's a good ore bad program I just thought it was kind of sneaky for it to install itself with out my knowledge.

Sneaky? Yes. Typical? Also yes. I wish these companies would stop installing this crap unless folks ask for it.

Apple put up fingerprint security.
Someone put up a case of beer for breaking it.
Couple days later, it was broken.

Smooth move.
