Transporting prehung doors.

Wow, only the second post in this highly interesting forum!!!

I just purchased a couple of Masonite exterior prehung doors from the home dopes online, and I'm due to pick them up today.

I've never bought a prehung door before, and I'm trying to figure how I'll load them up.
Can two units lay flat, one on top of the other in the bed of a pickup, or would it be better to transport them on their sides?

If anyone knows, please clue me in.

Thanks.

Lay flat with 2x4s between. On sides is ok but harder to tie down and more stress on connections.

Unless they are glass, you can lay them flat.

If you lay them on top of each other, even with 2X4's between, you should lash them together. Frankly, I would use a load blanket.
