Track bubble

Been out all day in the high country at tower sites. Noticed a clunking noise and discovered a large bubble in my front passenger side track of my Tucker once on the trailer. Stuck my knife into it and air came out but it is dark and been going since 4 this morn.
Got to get up and do it again in the morn. Any solutions to this or what?
Will the track separate?

Call your Tucker dealer before you go out again. Sounds like it could be seperating. Let them decide, as they probably have seen this before. Lots better than trying to fix it on a mountain side.

Regards, Kirk

I'm sorry to hear about your track problems. Unfortunately I can't offer any suggestions as to the track itself. I suspect you are the only forum member with a rubber tracked Tucker.

I agree with Kirk and would suggest you call Tucker. I don't know if they're open on a Saturday, but maybe. They may have a telephone option to get after hours parts and service. Their main number is 1-866 SNO CAT1.

There are two other Tucker dealers in the US; Track, Inc in MN (888 952 7372) and Getsno Equipment (formerly Cook's Equipment) in Vermont (802) 334 7779).

Tucker Terra tracks problems such as yours have been suspect for a long time. More info is available from Koz's Grooming forum as the issue appears most often when the Tucker Terra is used for grooming or work related heavy duty operations. I have actually seen the de-lamination in the Tucker Terra Tracks when used for grooming. It sounds like your track is starting to de-laminate as the track belts separate you may get the air bubble you describe. Some people say don't worry about it but when you have to use sheet metal bolts to hold the track belt lamination's together you have a problem. :ermm:

Tucker Terra Track problems have been discussed in several threads and many pages on Koz's Grooming talk so I am posting a link for you to read the info for yourself.

Has anyone ever driven a terra home on three tracks? i drove a few miles in a 1444 with a track off in the front no problem but I assume the terras weigh a lot more

Well the track continued to separate after one more trip up a Colorado Mtn to a cell site. By the time we returned to the truck that evening it was approximately 36" long down the track and all the way across.
The awesome news is Tucker completely warrantied and sent a new replacement. They said Camoplast will send Tucker the replacement. In other words Camoplast could not get the track to me in time for my jobs and they sent me one from Tucker.
Gota believe in the people at Tucker they have been great to deal with.
