Tomatoes survived storm rather well

Gone But Not Forgotten
I am surprised they are still standing after last nights storm. Glad we did not get the big ones planted yet. Flowers that were hanging lost some of their petals and the beets are a little flattened but hopefully they will come back.tomatoes 013.jpg

Looks good! We fared pretty decent ourselves. Will have to go pick up branches today...

Got home from shopping for holiday supplies and the damn beeper is going for a Tornado watch till 10 tonight. Large hail and high winds etc.,etc. This is getting real old after the past 6 weeks of mostly rain. I saw one guy who has corn up about 2 inches and giant puddles in the fields from last night. Had to wait 3 times for crews cleaning up washouts on the local and state roads around here. The one road up to a gas well looks like a ravine about 6 ft. deep and had washed out across both lanes of the road.

Wonderful! I am so pleased to be able to see how you've been going on with them. This is great! I noticed all the chopped wood behind the greenhouse too.

That chopped wood is actually stacks 20ft. long and 8ft. high by 14 ft. deep. Quite a pile of wood for next winter. I will do up that much again before fall so we don't run out and have enough to keep us and the greenhouses warm.
