Those of You With Children

This is a question for those of you with more than one child. Do you find that you relate to one of your children more than the other(s)? I have two boys, one of which I have everything in common with, the other I have nearly nothing in common with. Without going into details, I find myself wondering what one kid is even talking about half the time, while the other son doesn't even need to say anything sometimes, I just know what he is thinking. Are any of you in a similar situation?

You'll just have to reach out to the older child in a different way, I guess. Everyone has their own personality and way of thinking. My daughter thinks a lot like me and we can relate quite well at times; other times the teenaged monster come out and we can't relate too well. My son and I relate well nearly all the time, but he is almost 13, and my DD is 16, and I imagine that is part of the difference.

Sounds like life is happening to you Bone. Each child is an individual person, so treat them as important individuals with love and respect. That's what I strive to do.
