Yep, it sure does stir the gut.
A few years back this little community had a major loss much like that. 5 high school kids out on lunch break were driving to fast hurrying back to school. They lost control and hit a big truck. All but the driver died. It was a very tough time for the whole community.

my town usually has a teen drunk driving major car wreck with deaths involved every few years! When I see that shit it just reassure's me that I need to stay as tight as possible with my son so that he will use better judgement then those who get in the passenger seat of a drunk driver. My influence will make the difference.
