anyone know what type of unit this was?

I'm sure its heavy and how did it steer-- brake steer?

No clue what the drive system would be, but probably a brake steer would be a good bet given the age???

Im following a guy on Instagram ' motormaker" and he posted it.

his post's are incredible as he posts old school tech and equipment that has been long forgotten. I could spend hours .

Another one I follow that posts old school cats and snow related equipment is 'retropowederski'

If your on instagram just search snow cats too.

Is there any drawback to having the tracks come downhill around the tires? I want to track up a Jeep Wrangler. I've thought about making a sub-frame with a rear axle and the idlers but this would be much easier.
