Vehicle Description
This is a very nice (considering it's age) 1970 Thiokol Spryte 1202B-56 Snow Cat. THE BEST THING ABOUT THIS SNOWCAT IS THAT IT ONLY HAS 1573 ORIGINAL HOURS ON IT OF OFF-AND-ON USE, SO IT'S STILL LIKE NEW. These are very hard to come by and can go over any type of snow terrain that you can think of.
This particular Snow Cat was owned buy the US Forest Service until just recently, so you know that it has been taken care of. This is a six passenger model and still is in very decent shape. The body is nice and the interior is pretty nice also, it just needs freshened up a little. The engine is a Ford 200CID 6 Cylinder engine that runs GREAT, it starts right up and idles smooth as anything. The transmission, rear differential, and all other components seem to work great on this thing and it could easily be taken right to the snow and be put to work. There is a hole about 6x6IN in the aluminum that surrounds the frame but this does not have any affect whatsoever on the useability of this snow cat. The tracks have defintley been used and abused but they should still last quite a long time, I don't know much about snow-cats so I can't tell you for sure.
