EDIT: The auction linked below appears to be legitimate. However, there is a link in the Q&A section of the auction that appears to be a link to a scam website. If you go to the auction, do not click on the link in the Q&A section of that auction.

I think this unit has been for sale on eBay a couple times, the starting price is now $6500.00 There are many more photos at eBay in addition to what I have posted here.

Thiokol Sno Cat
Not sure of the year, we couldn’t find it anywhere on the unit. There are 6759 Hrs on the clock.
This Thiokol Sno Cat has a center mounted cab. It’s a real blast to drive. Well maintained Straight Six Ford, that runs strong. There are hydraulic hookups on the back for a snow plow or snow grooming attachments (none included) with controls in the cab. When everyone else is snowed in you can still get around. We bought this one with the intentions of putting a cab on the back to carry people, but we don’t have the time so we are going to buy a new one. This unit is being offered locally so we have the right to end the auction early. This unit is being sold as is, No Warranty. To qualified buyers this item is available for local inspection and test drive in Sewell, New Jersey up to and including day of auction. NO WARRANTY! Local Pick up only Please. Please check out our other auctions.
Thank you and have a blessed day.

********WARNING********

That auction quotes an AskTheSeller that gives the URL for the same photos on another website.

THE OTHER WEBSITE MAY BE A PASSWORD-STEALING SCHEME. DON'T GO THERE!!!!!!!

It looks to me like that other URL is formatted as a 'redirect' that looks like ebay and displays ebay's signon screen, but isn't really ebay.

Edit: Stranger and stranger. I clicked on AskTheSeller to ask him to take down the bidder's msg that goes to the bogus signon page. First thing I see is "Seller is in another country and may not be able to understand your message if you enter it in English" WTF? New Jersey? I didn't continue.

Good catch! I didn't even pay attention to that.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with eBay, what California is saying is that in the Q&A section below the photos is a link to another site. That link is a scammer's link.

The auction for this Thiokol appears to be legitimate, and the scam portion is not related to this seller.

Do not follow the link in the Question & Answer section located below the photos!

The link appears to be designed to steal your eBay information so your I.D. can be used to run future scams.

Anyone have a old chevy passenger van they want to get rid of?
:yum: I was thinking the same thing! This unit would be a great basis for another "Van Groomer"

Why does Ebay not do anything about these a holes? I have reported several and they go on and on.
The ones with 'BuyItNow using this offsite email' disappear soon after I report them, usually.

I reported this one in a different category, 'contains link to a site that will steal your password', and Ebay did nothing. This strengthens my hunch that they only read reports saying they are getting cheated out of their sales commission - and ignore all other categories of complaint.

I suspect this sort of 'phishing' for ebay passwords explains the massive number of hacked acounts.

Edit - Here's another article about Vladuz, the suspected master Ebay hacker:

 snowcatoperations, funny you should say that, I did the frame up on that one 7 years ago ,and narrowed it down with spryte axles. I sold it to the guy in newjersey on e-bay back in 2001 [I think]. I'm looking for another van,had my hopes on one but it is gone. But I do have a couple more 3700's if your interested.

I'll post some before and after pics of the 2100 if I can get my scanned photo's to come out:pat:
