Thiokol 1404WT, Block Heater

Hi All. I am working on a 140WT with the Ford V4 104CID.
I am wondering if anyone know of a block heater that will fit this engine?

I have been searching and can't find anything, we currently have a not so great
heater that goes between the heater lines.

Any help would be appreciated

I’ve been stuck in the same rabbit hole as well, I’d love to find one for my 1404 v-4. I’ll reach out to Dan Gates, Snowcat Service in Salt Lake. He may know. I do know they run a 1.5” or 38mm freeze plug. I may roll the dice and purchase/install a 38mm with hook end on it. Maybe it will fit? I dunno. Someone out there has the answer.
I’m even searching for other vehicles/machines with the v-4 application such as Saabs, etc.
it’s possible that John Morris (Morris v-4 sales) would know. He’s on my list to contact.

Update: I spoke with John Morris at Morris V-4. He wasn’t aware of a specific part number but suggested searching based on an 87 Ford Ranger with the 3.6l V-6. This has the same block but with the additional cylinders. I’m gonna investigate further on my rig tomorrow and verify the diameter Of the freeze plugs. I believe this heater is a 38mm or 1-1/2” plug.

Hi All, thanks for looking into it. I was finally able to find one. Brand is Zerostart #310-0036
Once it gets here I will update with fitment.

Hi All. I had a chance today to install the block heater. It went in the rear of the drivers side head, with the electrode pointed roughly in the 9 o'clock position. The bracket for the coil just barley clears it. Once I get some coolant back in it, I will plug it in and see how it does.
