Here is the T-16 Differential originaly used on the Bren gun carriers Still in use by most of the Bombardiers (But not on the hydrostatic machines)and some Go-trac but the Bombi,BR100,Br100plus

As you can see All Differentials OC-4,OC12,OC15,OC21,T-16,M24 and couple others that are rare all operate in the same manor when you apply the brake band you cause one side to go to 1/3 speed and the other goes to 2/3 speed thus causing a turn some will turn sharper based on weight and track geometry but they do rob power in a turn.
