Have you ever tried to say the Pledge of Allegiance leaving out the words 'under God'? I tried and could not complete it correctly.
Did you know that the words under God were added in 1954? The original pledge was written in 1892, but for some reason in 1954 congress saw fit to change that. To my understanding this was due to a push by the 'Knights of Columbus'. I had no idea they had that much influence.
