When computers first came out, we were promised that it would save trees and the world because we woulduse les paper.
Well not true,,,,,seems we use more.

But with the advent of Tablets, Notebooks, and Kindles, maybe itis possible,,, eh?

Take banks as an example. I change banks from time to time. If I didn't get paper bank statements from the bank I would need to download them and use my paper and ink to keep a record...go on line and look anytime you say.....not after you close your account with that bank you don't.

They act like they are doing you a favor ...go paperless they say....BS they are trying to save themselves money. If you fall for it and ever need a statement from a bank or any vender you are not currently doing business with....good luck.

I have never switched Banks, but I find it hard not to agree totally with the rest of your post. What would you do in an IRS audit for instance??

Banks, phone companies, any utilities changed because of a move. I can't even think of all the things that it can affect. Access to your records depends on your continued connection to that vendor. I don't think it escapes them one bit. I am sure you could get copies of your records for a fee.
