Let's see.
At 21, I was in the Marines and was the NCOIC of an Avionics dept. of about 25 people.
At 48 (and a tad wiser), I'm the Committee Chair of about 70 Scouts in our Pack.
 
What would the Navy have to do if it wasn't ferrying the Marines around from place to place? Without the Marines, the Admiral wouldn't need a packed bag as he wouldn't be needed. :whistling::w00t2::biggrin::flowers:
 
Sounds as if someone is trying to justify the existence of Seagoing Bellhops. This country's naval services do quite well without
Marines, but without seagoing transport the Marines are just an army with nowhere to go and no way to get there!
