the Cardinal & the Bishops' visit

luvs

'lil yinzer~
i'm in sheer awe now. jus' got in from church where the Bishop & 2 Cardinals visited. that was by far the most amazing event in my day. the 1 Cardinal gave me Holy Communion, later shook hands w/ me, & 1 of the Bishop paused as they filed from the church, & randomly blessed me before shaking hands w/ me. i was beyond honored. there were several Nuns & many, many visiting Priests.
i was trembling so much, then kinda relaxed. was a beautiful, breathtaking service. so many ppl were taking photos & footage. (Nuns included- so adorable w/ thier smartphones) a camera crew was there. was not a simple task to ignore. this one guy w/ a telescopic lens kept taking pix & i was in several of 'em....... gonna have to see if 1 gets published. i took scads of pix, 'cept they were blurry from me shaking- i was overwhelmed. i actually got faint a few times. i'll post the one that was the least blurry. they were calling the Mass a convention, although they said to consider the event a convention. & he was correct- was Mass. wow~:flowers:

This does NOT mean you can go out and sin tonight!:yum: Seriously, I am sure it was a great event and glad you could be there to participate in it.:flowers:

was very special to me. i fought tears a few times- not sad tears, tho. thankful ones. the chior sang so beautifully.

& oops- i meant to type that he considerd the service a Mass, rather than a convention.

thanx, muley! i'll behave.

i promise.:whistling:

WOW, congrats on the wonderful, life affirming experience. May we all share you joyous event at least once. I've been in masses held by our Bishop several times but have never had the honor of having 2, let alone a Cardinal, in the same mass. I can't even imagine how wonderful of an experience that can be.

Please share more photos, and especially any links to the news reports.

What was the special occasion that brought them together?

got a few vague, blurry pix~

melensdad, i'm as baffled as any other. many choose pittsburgh as a place to be, nomatter the event. ppl say we're unkind. we can be. we're very open to many events & ppl, tho.

Congrats Luvs. What an evening! I can only imagine how moving it was for you. Like Bob, I have been to Mass with a Bishop, and other events that the Bishop attended but never two Bishops and a Cardinal. Thanks for the pics. Good pics of events like that are challenging.

i hear they were on television earlier. maybe they'll show the footage again this evening.
not certain as to why they convened here. they chose this church & this city.

i think 1 of them hailed from here/near here. blake saw the footage on t.v. & forewent recording that.
regardless, that was so beautiful an event, & i've my memories. maybe i'll look online fer footage.
