The Bears are back

lilnixon

AKA LILVIXEN
It is that time of year up here in Western PA. John and I were out walking around yesterday and I found a pile of bear poo and were wondering if we would see any this year. Well we didn't see it, but it sure did leave its mark last night. The large bird feeder in the back was on the ground. RIPPED off the post. Forrest went spare when he saw something out of place. Part of the base is still attatched to the post. Then we checked out the front yard and the two bird feeders were on the ground in pieces. Yes the bears are back. This is not the first time. John has actually talked to one that was laying down by the deer feeder that it had knocked over to get a better shot at the corn. John was really dissapointed as the bear never answered him back. He just got up and took an ear of corn and waltzed down the driveway. I love living out where there is such an array of wild life.
Wednesday there was a Falcon flying over head, and an owl scared the shit out of John one night when he was throwing corn cobs off the porch. It tried to attack one of the cobs as it was flying over to where John chucked it.

I enjoy the wildlife where we live also, but I have to admit, you can keep the bears. I'm glad they are not wandering in my woods. :D

Doc, for the most part they aren't troublesome , Other than mess with the feeders ,and occasionally getting into the trash .
My biggest concern is that one of these days a Sow will turn up with Her Cubs .
