What the heck is going on with TSLA stock today?

After being down and flat, it bounced.

I know the stockholders are pushing back on Elon's pay, but that cannot be the reason for the bounce. Don't get me wrong, I'm a stockholder and glad to be profitable with my holdings, I look at the company as far more than a "car" company. But I clearly missed the news on why/what caused today's reversal of the generally down/flat trend.

Recent news is suggesting more price drops for Tesla cars due to excessive inventory build. That would clearly not be bullish. The stock is well below its 52 week high (about 40% below). So it has taken a beating. But it bounced roughly 11% between the end of yesterday's trading and today.

So what gives?

1) Tesla is offering 1% car loans.
2) FSD will soon be a reality.
3) Chinese sales are matching last year.
4) rehiring some from the charging station unit.
5) Elon is back in charge.
6) Tesla has a normally a volatile stock price, nothing new about that.

As for Elon compensation, People are being fooled by left wing stockholders who want to hurt Musk any way they can.
13 federal investigations currently. Trump and Elon have a lot in common.

A great source of daily news and information about Tesla. I recommend it highly. Just click on the blue time numbers of the index to watch a specific part of the presentation. Good factual info without hype.

We sold 15 shares the other day. When it was low, Does that answer the question

Well I saw several of the Tesla Cybertrucks over the past week.

Honestly I think I like it. Got a close encounter in a parking lot so snapped a few photos of the radical design. No clue how it would be as a truck for hauling mulch and other stuff I haul, I think the bed size is smaller than my Ridgeline's bed, no clue how the interior compares for size and utility either.

One thing I see as a functional problem is the sloping rear, that would make it harder to dump bulk mulch into the bed with a skid steer.

The rolling cover could have some freezing issues in snow areas, when snow melts on those and then refreezes it can bind those covers. Perhaps not on Musk's Cybertruck? Did he figure out a way to keep them functional in the winter?

Unconventional looking, more brutalist than stylish. But pretty cool.

Oh I'm not buying one, but it is better looking in real life than I thought it would be.
I saw one last month while I was at Henry county hospital for an appointment.
I've since seen the owner driving around in it.
At first, I thought it may have been a doctor, but he isn't.
Just a guy from here who apparently owns quite a few expensive vehicles.
I retrieved the pic from the What Are You Doing Today thread.
