Yes he is.

He said he would be working to lower the cost of owning a Tesla product. When he came through with that promise, the media claimed he did it to boost sagging sales.

People believed that.

Fogeting that Henry Ford promised and did the same thing.

He backed out of the deal, faced a legal challenge and due to the legal costs mounting up, he decided “No actually I’ll buy Twitter”.
Clearly you have no idea what’s going on :)
