Sweet corn plates for a flex 71

thcri

Gone But Not Forgotten
Does anyone know where I can buy a plate or set? I have the standard plate but the Imelda corn plate is too large and I am dropping 2 and 3 seeds at every point instead of 1. I have looked all over with no luck. There used to be a company that bought he ights to the Flex planter and was making them as smaller units but I can't ind them either.

JD 71 units.?

If so, I may be your man. We have two on small toolbar. I have several dozen plates, boyh plastic and iron..

Regards, Kirk

Yes John Deere Flex 71. I have three plates, one don't know what it is for, a bean plate and a corn plate. The corn plate has too large of opening and the bean has the right diameter but not deep enough.

See if there are any numbers on the plates you have. We can then go from there. The seed size should be on the seed bag. it may also state the shape as well. Corn has both flat and round seeds, need to know what you have,to pick a plate.

Soybeans are sizes by seeds per pound. There are three different plates to cover the common range of seed sizes commonly found. I need to know that as well, even if you are not planting soy...

I need to find the chart that tells you what plate does what. Now days we don't use seed plates any more.

Hope I can help you out....maybe a trade for some rain?:whistling:

Regards, Kirk
