Stop Windows 10 from spying on you.

Windows 10, by default, will send a lot of data back to (somewhere) that you may not want to share. You can manually turn it off, if you know where to go and how to do it, but it's anything but straightforward.

Here is a link to an article on "How to Disable Windows 10 spying". In the article is a link to a free program called Spybot Anti-Beacon 1.5 that will allow you 1-click access that will disable all of the Windows 10 spying functions.

Thanks Squerly. Good info. :tiphat:

Any downside to turning off the spying?

I like all the Operating systems for different reasons. For what is described here I like Ubuntu or Linux Mint. Both free, open source.

No matter what machine you have new or old, they automatically install all the correct drivers.

Just my $.02 worth.
