Stimulus plan goes to Senate floor, today

Called both of my senators yesterday. One GOP and one Dem.

The staffer at the Democrats office (Senator Evan Bayh's office) tried to blow me off, I had to ask him to take my name and told him that I want feedback. I told him I wanted an answer to a specific question regarding the Congressional Budget Office's assessment of the stimulus package, and why if the CBO says it will hurt the economy would Bayh consider voting for it. The staffer seemed genuinely put off by my question and my demand for a reply.

The staffer at GOP/Richard Lugar's office was a bit nicer, but probably because he has not committed to voting for it (although he is a liberal member of the GOP). I also asked for the same reply to the same question.

I expect to get 2 form letters in a couple weeks and I expect our kids/grandkids will be saddled with a HUGE tax bill to pay for this crap.
