Looking for the spindle steering arm assembley and ski support bracket for the right side and the knuckle arm and spring seat assembley with spring cups for the left side. Any help would be great. Thanks.
We don't have a lot of members here with those types of machines (but they are awesome). Hopefully someone here has better information than I have but I'd suggest a couple website for you to check out while you wait for an answer here.
One is the index page at the Northern Tracks website, they have some parts sources listed that look promising for you: http://www.northerntracks.com/
The other is to also post this same question on the Northern Tracks forum. They have a very small forum, but other than me, they are dedicated to the old Bombardier units like the B12 and C18: http://www.northerntracks.com/forum/index.php
Parts for the R12 are available from Shaver and Sons Enterprises at Stonewall,Manitoba Canada (204) 467-2605 and ask for Dan or try Dan57@escape.ca He rebuilds these parts to be better than original and may take your damaged ones on trade.
Thanks! I am new to this the bombardier is my brothers he just purchased it about 2 weeks ago.I just want to keep a look for parts or a parts machine. I think it is in the early 50's and it is a narrow. From what I have read on this site everyone is helpful . Now I just need to find a snowcat for myself!
Rackaholic, if it is from the early 50's then I would guess it is a metal bodied machine. I'm not sure, but I seem to remember that 50 or 51 was the last year they produced the wood bodies, and 1952 on were metal bodies. Does that sound about right? You should be able to look at the tag in the engine compartment for a year of manufacture.
