Steering issues.

I have a light foot with a weasel m29 rear differential, I’m having issues with the master cylinders slowly gaining pressure and making the rear steering breaks tighten. The master cylinders in the cab are new and the ones underneath at the rear end look to have been replaced not long ago. I’m not too sure where to start to address this issue. If I was a guessing man I’d say the person I bought this from had the same issue. Any help is appreciated.

One thing that is easy to check. Make certain the master cylinders are being released fully. The linkage may be just enough out of whack that they are not returning all the way.

I will check into that today and adjust them, if the return spring is a little weak and not pulling them all the way back would that lead to them slowly building pressure to not fully return?

If they don't fully return the port will be blocked that lets the fluid back into the reservoir. Then as the fluid heats up it expands and will push the slave cylinders.

Thank you for the info, I’m going to unhook the linkage and make sure it’s fully returning and go from there!

please don't forget to update when you solve the problem. if it happened to you it will happen to someone else.

I will, I got a hole in my radiator the same weekend of course up at our off grid cabin. I pulled it and brought it to the shop, hoping to be back up and running in a couple weeks.
