I'm glad I wasn't involved in liberating the camps; there's a good chance that, after the vomiting, I might have started
randomly killing German prisoners of war. It is a wonder that our guys in 'Nam didn't commit massive atrocities,
considering some of the things they experienced. It's difficult to stay calm and within the Rules of Engagement after finding
the body of the guy who sat next to you at breakfast lying in the mud, with his genitals hacked off and sown into his
mouth ... all of which was obviously done while he was still alive.
:shock: And there was worse; much worse. :puking:

The amount of forbearance shown by our troops, in all the conflicts over the last 100 years, is simply amazing to me.
For all of the problems we all know about, it would seem that our 'moral compass' still does work almost all of the time. :thumb:
