So I went back out to the cat shop and found that my trans in reverse I go forward and 1 thru 4 all go backward so it looks like my ring gear is on the wrong side:

It's a lot of work to tear it all back down, but in the end, worth every minute. And like most lesson of this sort, I bet you will not do it again!
We all have had situations like this happen, in one form or another. Sorry it was this time for you. I hope you get it back together soon, and post up some pictures!
