Planned on spending my 71'st birthday at my cabin today but don't relish driving 50 miles in a snow storm to get there, eventually chaining up yada yada yada. Not wise when it's you yourself and nobody else. Give a couple days to settle down, hit the road, snowshoe in if necessary, fire up the cat and forgetaboutit.

Ha! I love adventure like everyone but groveling around trying to get un-stuck or getting hammered by someone driving too fast for conditions is something I try to avoid when possible.
Paranoia tends to creep on a person with age. But I still push the envelop more than I should at times.
