Software to edit old home videos

I had some old 8mm movies and VHS home movies put onto DVD. They came out pretty good. So now I'd like to edit the videos removing boring or redundant parts and keeping the good parts.

Hoping some of you guys have done this and can recommend software that will work on Windows 10.

Look into Adobe Premiere Elements. It is Photoshop Elements for video. Not terribly expensive and way more power than you will ever use. Be warned you start working with video and you will want and need processor, RAM, and a fast hard drive with lots of space.
