Here is one idea http://www.forumsforums.com/3_9/showthread.php?t=14020&highlight=spline

Here is what my ST4B drums look like, someone cut out the splined centers and replaced with these and cut a keyway into the shaft.

You need a new axle. You should beable to pull your good one out and send it to a shop who can cut splines. Have them fab you up 3 so you will have 2 spares. If you ever do a rebuild swap the two new ones in and keep the other two as spares. The above picture while a good idea if you dont want to spend the money for a new axle looses way to much strength. In a SnowMaster or TrackMaster you will need all the strength with those wide tracks! Not so much on snow but on any other surface where you have allot of traction. A good rule of thumb is to not run your Snowmaster when there no snow! Snow Tracs are just fine though.

i found my splines wearing badly and had one slip this summer i filled the cavity with some super epoxy called belzonna and re threades the shafts to 7/8 fine thread put it together wet gave it 2 days to cure i have pulled out 2 3/4 tone trucks and a1/2 ford and havn't loosened up a spline yet we will see how it works with time

some of it comes from soft material on the axle shafts in my case the fine threads had worn out or some one had streatched the threads on the shaft dosn't matter i couldn't get the nut to tighten down properly the 7/8 fine thread die left me with good deap threads that held 100 ftlbs of torque nicely
