Snowcat Showdown!

I am thinking it would be fun to invite everyone to get together this season for a snowcat run/shootout. I have spoke to a few local cat owners who thought it would be fun, but no one has ever put anything together.

Basically take the machines for a little backwoods run and then do some side by side comparisons of the machines for things like speed, climbing ability, etc. Maybe even a little snowcat show, we could also do some snow survival and machine recovery demonstrations.

Exact date and location to be determined. I would even be fun if we could get some of the dealers to show off there machines as well. Utah would be good for the first annual Showdown. Any interest anybody? Any suggestions. Location? Date?

don't expect to see any krustys there they only sit in shop buildings and show off bling their owners have added.

I'm interested, but it's doubtful my project Tucker will be completed this winter. Perhaps my friend Scott could bring his 4VL.

Congradulations ! This is to inform you that your name has been added to my "DO NOT" give ride to list . You forgot to add that it is a heated shop !:shifty::biggrin:

I'd take old #7 down there but I do not want to see a bunch of grown men cry when they realize that there is no way in hell they could ever beat her . I guess it is really about who is #2 ??:yum::unsure:

Hey Al if you took number seven down why i might charter a hurc to take my st down there just to pull you out when you get stuck from all the weight that bling added or your engine overheats

Actually... everything that was added is made out of puffed air molecules . Lighter than air:shifty::unsure: .
If it was not for my fat ass holding it at ground level , it would be called a airplane :yum:.

utah997 what type of cat do you have and what area you located? any suggestions on location?

Just bought a '66 Spryte. It's at my cabin right now past Heber at Timberlakes. Actually haven't even really driven it yet.. heading up Saturday to put on additional lights, winch and toolbox.

Come on snow!!!!

Tomelroy- I like the idea...in fact I've been thinking of a 3 day snowcat tour that involved overnight camping and all...picture the bonfire as we snowcatters hang around camp and swap tales...but more realistically how about up on Daniels Pass (Heber City) area....there is a lodge where the ladies might prefer to stay and lots of trails...Uinta National Forest...just dreaming here when I ought to be at work...cheers

Slim...that sounds great... I have stayed at the daniel summit lodge before.

I would need to install my select comfort bed in the back of my full cab to do the overnight trip
