Apparently people don't understand the capabilities of a good snowcat.

Personally I think I’d be scared beyond reason if I was driving a snowcat and it started to slide down the mountain, rather than drive down the mountain, but snowcat driver John Stafford seems remarkably calm while doing so. You can even hear the reverse beeps going off, despite the groomer still continuing down the hill…
Based on the comments, this looks to be on Chin Clip at Stowe in Vermont, a black run off the Gondola. While it appears like he’s sliding out of control, Stafford states that he left a pretty solid pass, hitting the run while on the way to do some winch grooming.
Apparently when the cat is in a slide it can still be turned and controlled with the blade, but Stafford was able to just send it straight because there weren’t any turns in that section of the run. Pretty wild and impressive stuff.
