2 is what i run and i have stripped out a break hub and wore out a set of sprokets to the point teeth started to break off i would say you are safe i know the book shows a 3 grouser overlap

I moved one track to two because I didn't have any adjustment to slacken it any. I put all new studs on the rear today. The tourque of 90ft seems high for the 7/16 stud bolts.
