Don,

So how fast does it go? The new gears are working out well I hope. I bet it's nice to not have the sound of the transmission howling either.....

So how warm was it when you were out at 9 PM anyway. It doesn't look to be very cold. Is that a heater behind the fuel tank? Just wondering....

Regards, Kirk

seat of the pants feel is about 30mph and the heater is a left over as part of my survival kit should i have to shut down over night to wait for weather or god forbid break down i carry a small generator and plug in the tannis pads on the engine and the heater and get comfortable.

when making long trips out of town i carry along a waterproof box with my survivle kit in it stoves sleeping bags lanterns and food i also carry the generator on the roof to run the heater and tannis pads the propane tanks were part of the fuel delivery up to the camp at the pilgram river where the usgs guys were base camping out of not for my use i'm not a big fan of lp for heat because at -30 you can only use about 50% of the tank before it starts to freeze remember evaporation is a cooling process

Is that what you do an Alaska - Delivery service? If so getting to drive around in some of the most beautiful country I have seen and get paid for it must be incredibly great.

by trade i'm a heavy duty diesel mechanic and also a machinist welder fabricator and gunsmith the snow trac was built up to access remote aeras to prospect for gold and my family has out grown quads also try to move a decent sized dredge in some place with quads will take you several days to move 15 or 20 miles with quads because of the unique nature of this vehicle i do have several chances a year to pimp out my snow trac to help cover the cost's of ownership i also have been out on search and rescue missions and done some wild life veiwing trips you are right it's neet to get payed to spend time in he country up here but it can be verry cold days are short and as pretty as it looks if you don't respect the country it will kill you quick road housed were 10 miles apart in the old days thats as far as a good man could walk in a day so if you are 20 miles from town guess what.

Great pictures - beautiful country you live in

Ditto that!

Love to see some more pictures of your springtime. We are in planting season here with the tractors working the fields to get the seeds into the ground. Still have occasional frost at night but also have the occasional 75 degree (F) daytime highs too.
