Item description:

I am selling this snow trac for a customer, it is one of three and the remaining two will be for sale shortly.

It has spent the last few years being used for transport on a peat works where due to it light weight and tracks it has managed with ease but due to a policy change they are no longer needed.

The registration number is LRG 801G so assuming it was registered from new it must be around 1968 machine.

The engine is a 1600 cc single port air cooled VW.

12 volt electrics.

This is a mechanically sound machine and any test drive or viewing is welcome.

As can be seen from the pictures it has come straight from work and is in need of a wash.

The battery is in poor condition but once running the engine runs very well and is quite running and very responsive.

I do not know of any service history of this machine.

According to the speedometer and rev counter it has done 1650 miles and 949 hrs, but I can’t confirm these figures.

It has according to a name plate on the machine been formally owned by. Macaulay institute, Craigiebuckler, Aberdeen.

And supplied by Alexander Maclarty Ltd 7 Galvelmore Street, Crieff, Perthshire.

According to the manufactures plate on the machine it is an ST4 and serial number is 01006 and it was made in Morgongava Sweden.

There are several sites on the internet that tell you a lot more about Snow Trac’s so if you are really interested I suggest you look at them.
For the purpose of transport the dimensions are as follows. Length 3.44 mtr and width 1.92mtr

The price that you bid is the price that you pay, however if when you come to collect the goods and they are not what you expected or you feel I have described them inaccurately you may if you wish back out of the deal, and there will be no negative feedback left. The reason for doing this is that on more than one occasion I have had buyers collect goods who are on the face of it happy with what they have bought but at a later date have been unhappy for what ever reason, resulting in negative feedback for them and for me.

It does not look too good to me and needs a bit more than a wash!

Maybe if you try to use a high pressure power washer it will shine up all brite and new :rolf2: It does look like its been sitting under a chicken coop for a couple of decades. Too bad the photos in the auction don't show any detail.

That particular seller bought one of our ex NATS Trac's, in mint condition. He knows a fair lump about them, I'd probably take his word for it.
