Snow trac bumper

Anyone have any pictures of front bumper details. Mine came without a bumper and the front end disassembled and front fenders damaged. I'm not sure how the bumper was attached and if it attached back to the frame. Looks like it might have attached right below the front tranny mounts and to the angle iron that curves up in front just ahead of the large chain sprocket. If you have pictures I would appreciate it. I want to mount a winch on it and I want it securely tied into the frame. ???any threads with this info and pictures.

Thanks Fred
I might need to come over and look at yours. Does the bumper only attach to the fender angle irons and the tow hooks attach underneath to the frame?

This pics shows the mounting the best:

The bumber is bolted to the fender support angles and to the frame via a short inverted "U" shaped bracket and the back of the bumber is bolted to another bracket that connects to the frame The tow hooks are bolted to the front part of the frame and through the top of the bumber into the inverted "U" bracket.

You can come look at my ST4B if you want to come up to Hatcher Pass the weekend. Maybe I'll even take you for a spin in it. :coolshade

Snow cat ops did you post any pics of your new bumper and supports.

Don't think I can make it to Hatchers Pass this weekend but will take you up on the ride some day.

I see you are up at the Gold Cord Mine in Hatcher Pass, I used to do snow cat tours up there with a Thiokol Sprite with "Alaska Snow Cat" on the side. Did we ever meet? I love that place and had alot of fun. Looks like there isn't much snow up there this year?

Randy,

I am suprised we have never met up there. I never did see your Thiokil Sprite around. What year were you doing that?

We have over 6 feet on the ground now up at the Gold Cord. Here is a picture from last weekend right after a big dump and a big blow. The Trac Master is about 1/2 buried. Should have good snow conditions for snowcatting for at least another month. :coolshade

Teledawg,
I did tours in 1999/2000, 2000/2001 and returned in 2001 for a film shoot for a Korean music video. In the winter of 2000/2001 I was hired to do a film shoot for Lexus Cars at the Gold Cord. My tours left Hatcher Pass Lodge and went through the Independance mine, then the Gold Cord to an outcropping above and near the upper portal. Then I went way above the High Grade mine almost to the top of that pass. Then the route came down the west side back past the High Grade and above and west of the Independance mine. I also took people up and over Hatcher Pass and up Craggy Creek to Dog Sled Pass. What a blast. Now I do contract grooming in the Petersville and Trapper Creek areas and we just opened up a new trail in Denali State Park. I'll try and post some pictures in the future when I figure out how.
What are you doing up at the Gold Cord? Having fun I bet.
Randy
