Today we took the cat, the newly tracked Polaris RZR and a fair number of Search and Rescue folks up to Government Meadows to help out at the Fun Run.
Weather was great and snow above 5,000 feet was 6-8 feet deep. Temps were about +34 degrees. Not - degrees. We don't do that here.
When we arrived it was a right place at the right time scenario. A rider had fallen off his sled and 45 or so MPH and got badly banged up. Within minutes the crew loaded him up and headed down to the Sno-Park. About 30 minutes later he was loaded into an ambulance and transported to the ER. He's okay now nursing more than a few broken ribs.
