Skunks!

This Fall is turning out to be a stellar year for skunks. Evidence of their presence is all through our front yard, thankfully not near the house. Neighbors dog got sprayed 3 nights ago and we've been babysitting the dog's evening outside time since. Last night we came home to 2 wandering around the yard.

I've read everything on how to rid or drive them away ........... tell me your successes.

Been seeing them a lot also. Turned on the porch light to let the cat in and had a white one on the porch last night. Will check the garden today as they like tomatoes. We seem to get a lot of white ones up here.

A 22 shot to the head before they have time to spray and then relocation is pretty simple. Shooting them gives you some real time target practice that means something especially if you only wound one! :w00t2:

They're tearing up yards here in NE Ohio. They're rooting for grubs, so if you get rid of the food source, the problem goes away. Unfortunately, grub treatment is not only expensive, but is not always effective. Soooo, sometimes it's like flushing your money down the toilet. I quit having the lawn service grub application, because it failed more often than it worked. The grass grows back, so no big deal, IMO. I've suggested paving the front yard, but the wife doesn't like the idea. I even offered to paint the asphalt green, but she's not buying it.

Have not seen one here at the house since the dog got sprayed. The wife saw a line of baby white ones on up the lane the other day so there will be more.:hammer:
