Hey all,
My logging project is nearly finished so I'm putting my Skidozer up for sale. If you just want the price skip to the bottom. Selling the machine after the project was finished was always my plan, and I'll be sad to see it go. There was no "flip that cat" intent behind it - only the desire to use it for a project. Here's what I can tell you about it:
- 1600 hours on meter
- Deere turbo diesel
- model year 1979
- hydrostatic with Sunstrand pumps
- front 13' U-blade; rear log lifter; rear drag/packer (no cylinders)
- 12 lights
- no title - keep it on your property (especially true in California)
- two manuals, but no fully spec'd technical documentation
- two heaters and three fans
- 80 gallon diesel fuel storage tanks
- prior owner is State of Oregon and a farmer in Idaho
- tracks are so-so. A few belts could be replaced (sun rot) but it will still run for a few years without repair.
- two speed hydrostatic transmission
- two extra sprockets
- few extra grousers
- solid bogies except for the two middles (pneumatic)
- super beefy front drive bogies show little wear
- cleaned and detailed
This machine is for working. It's not a cabin access cat - it's a big 11.5' wide machine that is geared for over-the-snow projects. This thing really kicks butt if you put it to the right use. Come take it for a test drive if you want.
This machine could run perfectly for 10 years or it could blow up tomorrow. That's true with most older machines regardless of what the seller thinks. By "blow up" I mean that motors/pumps could fail, you could have major engine trouble, etc. But my experience is that it runs perfectly and reliable. I've been very happy with this machine.
I'd consider a trade for a gas machine, too.
Here's a video of it in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FdcJFbJjfE8
I'd help load on a low-boy - no problem. You can drive out of here without a pilot car to get to I-80 but will require a wide-load permit to go anywhere in CA unless you want to take tracks off. I can help with that, too.
Price $12K.
