Sickle bar mower WTB

shipping might cost more than the mower - and it's only got about 2 1/2'-3' of swath. You sure you wouldn't rather just screw a cheap 10" HF carbide saw blade to your weed eater?

Saw a couple at the FLORIDA FLYWHEELERES last FEB., there is another show in Nov, come on down, I'll buy ya a beer & even tote ya around on the mule to look for one..
Meanwhile, I'm looking for a larger one for the hayfield, my self.

I'm with ya on that!
I could use a 6' or so 3 point sickle bar myself for mowing ditch banks and around the pond.

I've got a Ford 501 7' 3 point I think it is, that belongs to my Uncle, but I've got lots of trees and lots of rocks and need to knock down lots of brush. Troy Bilt and BCS make them or made them. Uncle says he doesn't want to sell it and it's been sitting for a long time, so no telling if it works or what.
Erik, what do you have?

it's an old self propelled walk behind - I don't remember who made it, it's faded orange and needs a tune-up pretty bad. it runs, but it doesn't have a lot of "oomph". I got it in trade after doing a job for a co-worker who didn't have cash to pay me for time and fuel.

I did a quick google for 'em and found one for $500 in the Albuquerque craig's list and another on ebay - so they're out there.Or I could check with my small engine guy and see if he remembers what mine was like the last time he tuned it so I could loan it to a friend - because I'm pretty sure it's been sitting since it came back...

Hey Redrocker..check with Tractor Suppy if you have one in your area if not check on line with them...it about 2 1/2 ft wide works ok

Seeing the post about the implement you need being in ABQ...I'm here. Need a pick up? I might even haul it to the TX border for ya (the official border), but I won't step over the line. Also, there's a ranch/farm auction/consignment place about 70miles south of here that has all sorts of these contraptions. Post a picture and I'll see if they have something like it sitting in their lot.

Dang Bob, I go right by your house at least twice a year around Easter on my way to
Moab, one of my Jeepin buddies lives in the area too. I appreciate the offer, but with the cost of diesel, it wouldn't make much sense to drive that far for anything but maybe Angelina Jolie.

Deal is, I can easily get it from ABQ to the NM/TX border on I-40. I will be working in that area next week. It would be trivial to haul it that far since I'm going that way anyway. But I guess you must be in NE Texas and no where near Amarillo.

Since you're into Jeepin, got a Safari Snorkel laying around that will fit my '94 Cherokee Sport, 4.0L?

No Cherokee stuff, lots of CJ stuff laying around. I'm about 330 miles from Amarillo, then about another 100 or so to the border I think. I found one locally Sunday, so my quest has ended. Thanks for the offer though. If you ever see an old fart running around town with Nightcrawler on his YJ, that would be a friend of mine.
