On January 6, Kamala Harris will preside over Congress to count and certify the electoral results. Given how she and the American left have continually pummeled Trump as literally Hitler, should she? If I truly believed he is what they say he is, I wouldn't. Certify a dyed in the wool totalitarian/dictator/nazi/despot? Doesn't she have a moral imperative to do everything in her power to stand in the way, to protect the republic?

To answer your question,,,; No, she should do her duty and certify the election. Unlike VP Mike Pence, Kamala has no questionable results to justify a failure to certify.
That VP Pence did not hold up certification until real and valid objections were resolved (his Constitutional duty BTW) counts a more than an act of betrayal to his boss, but to the country he swore to serve honorably.
Yes, Kamala has the power to wreak havoc on our Democratic Republic. However, she has no ground on which to stand and object. Her Moral and civic duty is to certify.
It would be the one act of her four-year term she did that history would record was done proper and patriotic.
 
I'm still interested to see if the left tries something on Jan 6. They may use the events of Jan 6 four years ago as justification for them to also disrupt the certification process.

It's interesting because the left has put itself in a box over this. On the one hand, if they riot at the Capitol on Jan 6, then they're hypocrites for accusing the right of being "insurrectionists" for doing the same in 2021. On the other hand, if they do nothing to disrupt certification of the election, they they are admitting that they were lying about Trump being akin to Hitler, because if they honestly believed Trump was the next coming of Hitler, then they would do everything humanly possible to stop the rise of the Third Reich.

I have to wonder if the Capitol will be surrounded by National Guard troops on order from the VP or Speaker of the House.

Also, one wonders if any citizen(s) will be arrested, just like 4 years ago, for just being "there."
