And so the saga begins...
Looks like if all works out, I may be trying to get a ST from WA state to Colorado, or parts nearby or further south down the coast, like CA would work too. Anyone got any ideas? I can go get it myself, but getting it hauled might work better for my schedule. Looking like it would need to be moved mid Feb. Probably not operational, but maybe good enough to get it on a trailer. Any and all suggestions (other than professional help for my particular addiction/illness ) is greatly appreciated.
As an aside, if anyone needs something hauled that way, maybe we can work something out along those lines....

I was meaning to send you a pm. I am looking at the other one. Would you be interested in combined shipping from AK?

Ooh you poor bass turds..... I am jealous.

Ak is going to be short of snow tracs eventually....

My first one came from there via ID.

good luck with the saga's

the best way to get it out of Alaska is to ship it over the water to seattle using tote or Lyndon/ morthland I believe they call them selves Alaska marine now that Lyndon bought out northland. once it is to seattle you can ship overland pretty reasonably as a lot of shippers are using u-ship to find back haul freight I don't think 2 snow tracs will fit a 20 foot container you might look at the cost to ship a container 1 40 footer may cost less than 2 ltl shipments.

Darn it you guys, I am having snow cat withdraw. And its hard to look out in the back yard. and not see my little tucker. I have always wanted a ST. I am located about half way, you could drop it off at my place and I would take care of it for you. :whistling: . (I take it s a NO,) I promise to give it a warm cup of milk every day. :brows:

It's a sickness for sure. After having the TM, and it being sort of a resto-mod, but basically stock, I'm looking forward to getting my hands on the green one and doing something a little more "creative". Hopefully mbsieg and I will get transport figured out (and and akinp can get Shrek out of the woods....)

Would someone put a tape in their ST and get me a tip to tail length? Trying to figure out how long a trailer is needed to haul 2 or these rascals....

Snow Trac's are 12 feet long as long as no one has welded anything on either end,.. like a winch. 6'3" wide. Trac masters, and snow masters are about 8 inches longer, the track sticks out the rear end, but the body is the same length. Trac Masters, and Snow Masters are 8'6" &3/8" wide, with the factory tracks. Snow trac weighs 2800 lbs empty, Masters weigh 3300 lbs. I don't know the width of a Master with cut down tracks, but the front fender width is 8', not 8'6". So the ones with cut down tracks or snow trac tracks have a footprint smaller than the body. 2 snow tracs will fit in a 28 foot truck box comfortably. Had 4 arrive at my house this way.
